About Me

Nice to meet you!

My name is Carla Guadalupe Du Solier Rojas. I was born and raised in Mexico City. I am an international student at Thompson Rivers University in Canada. I started with the business program, but I switched to communication a year ago. I have been interested in communication, politics, and animals since a very young age. I truly admire Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuarón, Lay Zhang, Karla Iberia Sánchez, Denise Maerker Salmón, Antonio Esquinca, and Carlos Loret de Mola. Carlos Loret de Mola was the person who inspired me to study communication and politics. Loret de Mola is my idol, whom I aspire to be like. After I graduate from TRU, I would love to study international law and dedicate myself to being a reporter for Televisa back in Mexico. Since 2023, I have been part of the CFBX community and campus radio in Kamloops. I am the host of “A Little Bit of Everything,” a world reggae music show where I introduce new artists who are underrated or not very well known in Canada. Animals are significant to me. I am always trying to help out by protecting their habitats, or when I have the chance, I donate or volunteer to help dogs and cats get adopted. For wildlife, I always try to help out as much as I can. “Por El Planeta” is my favorite series of reports and documentaries, based mainly on Mexican biodiversity and specific places of the world. Their main objective is to educate and raise awareness so that, as a society and country, we become a better example to others and protect the planet at all costs. I love my country, and I love to share its history and vibrant life.
